Ukraine strikes key Russian fuel sites, including Afipsky refinery, General Staff says

Ukrainian forces struck the Afipsky oil refinery, the Urupinsk fuel depot, and a number of enemy positions in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, according to the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"As part of measures to reduce the enemy’s offensive potential and complicate the logistical support of Russian occupation forces, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the facilities of the Afipsky oil refinery (Krasnodar Krai, Russia)," the report stated.
Explosions and a large fire were recorded at the target site. The extent of the damage is being clarified.
In addition, the Urupinsk fuel depot in Russia’s Volgograd region was struck, with explosions and a fire reported at the facility.

Ukrainian forces also struck enemy facilities and targets in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
In Donetsk region, the attacks hit the Volna-2 electronic warfare station, two command posts of different units of the Russian 76th Air Assault Division, another electronic warfare station, and the Imbir radar station.
In the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region, a Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system and an enemy drone laboratory were targeted.
Additionally, in temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukrainian forces struck two PMM bases, the Kasta-2E2 radar station, and an expensive component for S-300/S-400 air defense systems – the 96L6E radar station.
The extent of the damage is being clarified.
Attacks on Russian oil refineries
On the night of December 13, drones attacked an oil refinery in Saratov, Russia, which had only recently resumed operations.
The day before, Ukrainian forces struck the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl region, Russia. Attacks were also carried out on ammunition depots and concentrations of Russian forces in Donetsk.
On the night of December 6, 2025, Ukrainian units hit key Russian military targets in Ryazan region, Russia, and in temporarily occupied Luhansk region.
According to official information, Ukrainian forces damaged the infrastructure of the Ryazan oil refinery.
