On the night of December 6, 2025, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck military-relevant targets in Russia's Ryazan region and in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

According to official information, Ukrainian forces hit the infrastructure of the Ryazan oil refinery. There was "a hit on target and damage to the low-temperature isomerization unit," with the extent of the damage still being assessed.

The refinery, with a design capacity of 17.1 million tons of oil per year, produces various grades of gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel fuel, and is "involved in supplying the armed forces of the Russian occupiers."

In addition, Ukrainian forces struck the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.

This facility is reported to manufacture "components (casings) for shells on order from the Russian Ministry of Defense." A hit and fire were recorded at the site, with the scale of the destruction being clarified.

Attacks on Russian oil depots and refineries

On the night of December 3, drones struck oil depots in the Voronezh region and in Russia’s Tambov region, causing fires at the facilities.

In the Krasnodar region, on the night of November 30, drones attacked the Slavyansk oil refinery.

Also, on the night of November 29, the Ukrainian Defense Forces put the Afipsky refinery, an aircraft repair plant, and a marine oil terminal in Russia out of operation.

On the night of November 28, Ukrainian forces struck a refinery in the Saratov region, a drone storage site at the Saki airfield, and several other military targets.

The day before, on November 27, explosions were heard in Novokuybyshevsk, Samara region, after an attack by unidentified drones targeting the local oil refinery.

On November 25, Ukrainian drones and missiles hit several key facilities and military targets in Russia, including aircraft and oil refining facilities.
