Powerful explosions were heard in the Moscow region overnight. The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) successfully destroyed three lines of the strategic Ring (Koltsevaya) oil pipeline, according to HUR.

According to the military, on October 31, as a result of a special operation, a vital military facility of Russia was put out of action - the Ring oil pipeline, which supplied the Russian army with resources to wage a genocidal war against the Ukrainian people.

The location of the successful destruction of the critical military infrastructure facility is in the Ramensky district of the Moscow region.

The anti-drone net and the protection of the facility by paramilitary guards did not help, because, as HUR explained, all three lines used to transport gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel successfully exploded simultaneously, and the oil product pipeline was disabled.

Russia sent its special services and repair crews to the site of the explosion.

The statement emphasizes that another successful operation by the HUR on Russian territory is a serious blow to the military capabilities of the aggressor state, as well as to its economy, particularly in the Moscow region.

About the oil pipeline

The length of the Ring main oil pipeline is 400 kilometers. Fuel for transportation through the pipeline came from the Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow oil refineries.

Annually, Ring was capable of pumping up to 3 million tons of aviation fuel, up to 2.8 million tons of diesel fuel, and up to 1.6 million tons of gasoline.

Ukraine continues to exert effective “sanction” pressure on the aggressor, as described by Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, head of the HUR.

"In fact, our strikes had more impact than the sanctions. It's just a mathematical truth. We have caused much greater damage to the Russian Federation through direct action than any economic levers of influence that have been introduced so far," Budanov stressed.

Ukraine's long-range strikes

Ukraine is actively using long-range drones and missiles to attack strategically important Russian targets.

On the night of October 31, explosions were heard on Russian territory. Drones struck energy facilities in three regions at once. In Oryol, part of the city was left without electricity after a strike on a thermal power plant.

A fire broke out at the Vladimirskaya substation after a drone attack. The 750 kV substation is one of the key high-voltage stations in the energy ring around Moscow and transmits power from nuclear and thermal power plants to the Russian capital.

Locals also reported explosions near the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl last night. The local airport in Yaroslavl was also closed during the attack.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of October 23, Ukrainian defense forces struck the Ryazan oil refinery, one of the largest refineries in central Russia.

On October 21, Ukrainian defenders also struck the Bryansk chemical plant with Storm Shadow missiles.
