Ukrainian pilots will soon begin flying new Gripen E fighter jets, with training progressing much faster than expected, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy said the Ukrainian Air Force has mastered advanced Western air defense systems in record time.
The president said Ukrainian pilots have been successfully flying F-16 and Mirage fighter jets for several years. At the same time, another group of pilots is undergoing training in Sweden.
Gripens, Rafales to soon join Ukraine's fleet
"We will soon see Gripens in Ukraine's skies," the head of state said.
He added that the government is continuing talks with its French partners so that Rafale fighter jets will also appear in Ukraine's skies.
It was previously reported that Ukraine plans to receive 150 Gripen fighter jets under agreements with Sweden.
The media reports also indicated that Kyiv intended to acquire between 120 and 150 modern combat aircraft to strengthen its air force.
