Ukraine secures new RTX support to shield cities from Russian air attacks

Joint-Stock Company Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom JSC) has announced an important agreement aimed at reinforcing Ukraine's air defense, reports General Director Herman Smetanin.
"The team of Ukroboronprom JSC held a working meeting with representatives of RTX Corporation. During the meeting, they discussed further strengthening the repair capabilities of air defense systems supplied to Ukraine by partners," said General Director Herman Smetanin.
Following the talks, both sides reached a key agreement that will significantly bolster the protection of Ukraine's skies. Smetanin did not provide any further details.
He emphasized the company's readiness for long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with the American firm and thanked partners for constructive collaboration and tangible steps toward implementing shared plans.
"We are grateful to our partners for their willingness to cooperate and for practical actions that make this ambitious goal possible. We will keep moving forward," Smetanin added.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is negotiating with the United States to acquire additional air defense systems.
