Ukraine sanctions suppliers of components for Russia's ballistic missile program

Another 23 companies in Russia's military-industrial complex have been hit with Ukrainian sanctions, according to the website of the President of Ukraine.
Ukraine imposes new sanctions on Russia's defense industry
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on August 3 signed a decree enacting a decision by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council. The measure targets entities supporting Russia's military-industrial complex.
The sanctions apply to 23 companies and 20 individuals associated with them. They are involved in producing and supplying equipment and components for Russia's defense industry and security agencies while helping circumvent existing sanctions.
Who's on the list
Among those sanctioned is Kidma Tech, which manufactures:
- Optical devices,
- Air defense systems,
- Multiple launch rocket systems.
The company also repairs aircraft missiles and anti-tank guided missiles.
Ukraine also sanctioned the Morozov Plant, which is part of the structure of the already sanctioned Rostec corporation.
The plant produces:
- Explosives,
- Rocket fuel,
- Materials for missile systems, including solid-fuel charges for the Iskander-M ballistic missile engine.
Other entities on the sanctions list include:
- Spetselektronkomplekt, which is involved in the production of guided air-launched missiles;
- Aurum, which supplies electronic warfare systems and drones to Russian occupation forces.
The list also includes Russian IT companies that develop digital solutions and information security software for government and private-sector clients.
"Every company that loses access to components, technologies, or financing will produce fewer ballistic missiles, drones, and other weapons for war," said Vladyslav Vlasyuk, the President's sanctions policy commissioner.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Zelenskyy said Ukraine would do everything possible to ensure the war against Russia ends before the start of winter 2026.
In addition, the US Congress could pass a bill imposing "bone crushing" sanctions on Russia in early autumn, Vlasyuk told reporters.
