Situation in Yampil
Earlier, there were reports of attempts by Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to gain a foothold in the Yampil area. Back on September 28, Russians claimed that they were allegedly advancing within the village in the Donetsk region.
In response, the 11th Army Corps refuted these claims, calling them another Russian attempt to sow panic and misinform the population.
Ukrainian military emphasized that Yampil remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and all attempts by saboteurs to break through are being stopped promptly.
Later, on October 4, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Ukrainian troops had stabilized the situation in the Yampil area.
On October 6, a spokesperson for the East military group, Hryhorii Shapoval, announced the elimination of Russian saboteurs who had managed to infiltrate Yampil.
