On July 20, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) successfully struck an FSB coordination center in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region, the SBU reports.
The new operation was organized and carried out by special forces from the SBU's Alpha Special Operations Center.
As part of the operation, a precision strike hit the FSB center, as well as a location where its personnel were stationed at one of the boarding houses in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.
According to the latest information, around 100 military personnel may have been present at the site at the time of the strike.
SBU intelligence found that the facility:
- housed more than 70 vehicles;
- was guarded by armed security personnel;
- had checkpoints in operation;
- was equipped with engineering fortifications and underground shelters.
In addition, the SBU said that 13 of its drones struck the location where FSB personnel were stationed. A massive fire broke out afterward.
The security service also confirmed that the strike was part of the SBU's 40-day operation aimed at weakening Russia. The operation was reportedly ordered by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Such special operations inflict significant losses on the enemy in temporarily occupied territories, disrupt command and coordination systems, force the Russians to redeploy additional forces to guard their own facilities, and significantly complicate logistics and the supply of FSB units," the SBU said.

Meanwhile, from July 13 to 19, the SBU continued its systematic campaign to weaken Russia's military and economic potential.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that Ukraine's Special Operations Forces managed to paralyze a key logistics artery used by Russian forces in Crimea.
It was also reported that Ukrainian forces had, for the first time, attacked Russian troops with FPV drones launched from unmanned boats.
