Ukraine's Security Service drones disable and halt oil pumping station in Kuban, sources say

Drones of the Security Service of Ukraine attacked the Novovelichkovskaya oil pumping station in Krasnodar Krai, suspending its work.
According to RBC-Ukraine's sources in the special services, the drone attack took place on February 20. Novovelichkovskaya oil pumping station is one of the key ones for oil transportation in the Kuban. It supplies oil to the Afipsky and Ilsky refineries.
The drone strike hit the 110/35/10 kV power substation that feeds the station. The substation caught fire, causing a complete blackout and an emergency shutdown of the oil pumping process. The Russians are currently establishing the level of damage.
“This is the eighth successful SSU special operation since the beginning of the year to destroy Russian oil refineries and oil pumping facilities. Each such hit brings multimillion-dollar losses to Russia and complicates the supply of fuel to the Russian army,” said an informed source in the SSU.
Attacks on oil refineries in Russia
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian special services have carried out dozens of operations, attacking important enemy targets. Oil refineries, oil storage facilities, defense plants, etc. have been targeted.
For example, on the night of February 5, the Russians reported a drone attack in the Krasnodar Krai. Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on the Albashneft mini-refinery. After a successful hit, a fire broke out at the facility.
Also this month, the General Staff reported that the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Defense Intelligence, and the Special Operations Forces had hit the Saratov oil refinery.
