Ukraine`s General Staff confirms drone attack on Saratov oil refinery: Hit and fire reported

On the night of February 11, Ukraine`s Unmanned Systems Forces, Defense Intelligence, and Special Operations Forces struck the Saratov oil refinery in Russia, which processes crude oil, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
According to the Ukrainian military, the refinery primarily produces gasoline, fuel oil, and diesel fuel, but it is capable of manufacturing more than 20 types of petroleum products. The facility is involved in supporting the Russian occupation army.
"The hit has been confirmed. A fire broke out at the site. The results of the strike are being clarified. Strikes on strategic objects involved in supporting Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine will continue," the General Staff stated.
At the same time, Ukraine`s Unmanned Systems Forces clarified that the Saratov oil refinery is one of the oldest enterprises in Russia. It is known as the Cracker plant and is part of the oil company Rosneft. The refinery’s designed capacity is 7 million tons of oil per year.
"As a result of the drone attack, a fire broke out at the plant, and the governor of the Saratov region reported damage to the industrial facility," the statement says.

Last night, explosions were heard in the Russian cities of Engels and Saratov. Russians complained of a drone attack.
Residents of Saratov reported that after the explosions, a fire broke out near the local oil refinery.

The night before, unknown drones attacked the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai.
This refinery is one of the key oil refineries in Russia, with a capacity of 6.25 million tons of oil per year.
