Drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out a repeated strike on Russian oil platforms in the Caspian Sea. The attack has halted production processes, according to sources within the SBU.
Long-range drones from the SBU’s Alfa Special Operations Center successfully struck the Filanovsky oil platform for the second time this week. Another platform, the Korchagin, was also hit. Both facilities belong to Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft and operate in the Caspian Sea.

According to preliminary information, SBU drones damaged critical equipment on both ice-resistant platforms, leading to a halt in production processes.
The Filanovsky field is one of the largest explored fields in Russia and in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea. Its reserves are estimated at 129 million tons of oil and 30 billion cubic meters of gas.
"The SBU continues systematic efforts aimed at reducing Russia’s budget revenues from the oil and gas sector. The frequency, geography, and precision of the strikes send a clear signal to Russia: as long as its aggression continues, 'explosions' will occur at all Russian facilities operating for the war," an informed SBU source said.
Strikes on Russian oil facilities
Attacks on Russian oil facilities help reduce fuel supplies for the Russian army and inflict economic losses on the Kremlin’s war machine. Coordinated efforts by the Security Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, Defense Intelligence, and Unmanned Systems Forces have collectively disabled about 20% of Russia’s oil refining capacity, causing a fuel crisis and complicating logistics.
Previously, SBU drones successfully struck the Orskneft refinery, located 1,400 km from Ukraine’s territory.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that SBU drones hit and disabled the Tingovatovo oil pumping station in Russia’s Chuvash Republic.
