A motion to dismiss Yulia Svyrydenko from the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine has already been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament), according to a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Organization of State Power and Member of Parliament Oleksandr Kachura.

The Verkhovna Rada committee supported Svyrydenko's resignation from the post of Prime Minister today.

At the same time, Member of Parliament Oleksandr Kachura published a draft resolution of the Verkhovna Rada on Svyrydenko's dismissal.

The resolution is expected to be considered later today during a session of the Verkhovna Rada.

Svyrydenko's dismissal

On Sunday, July 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Svyrydenko. Following the meeting, Zelenskyy announced a decision to reshuffle the Cabinet of Ministers and offered Svyrydenko a new position.

Svyrydenko later confirmed her resignation herself, stating that she was ready to continue working in the new role.

It has not been officially announced what the new position will be. However, according to some Members of Parliament, Svyrydenko will become Ukraine's new ambassador to the United States.

It is currently known that Svyrydenko's resignation will be followed by a reshuffle of the Cabinet of Ministers. Sergii Koretskyi of Naftogaz is expected to become the new head of government. Zelenskyy also met with him on Sunday.

It has not yet been officially announced who else will leave the Cabinet of Ministers. However, according to RBC-Ukraine's sources, Oleksii Kuleba, Oksen Lisovyi, and Nataliia Kalmykova may leave the government.

It is also not yet known whether Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov will be replaced. According to some reports, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko is being considered for the position.
