Polish companies are showing significant interest in the reconstruction and development of Ukraine. Joint steps in this direction and the deepening of economic cooperation were discussed by the leaders of both countries, states Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
Details of the talks and results of the Conference
Svyrydenko held a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, during which she noted the high level of preparation and organization of the Ukraine Recovery Conference.
According to her, this year's event is proving to be particularly productive. She emphasized that Polish entrepreneurs are ready to actively participate in reconstruction projects in our country.
"Ukraine and Poland share many common priorities, challenges, and interests," emphasized the head of the Ukrainian ministry.
Cooperation in energy
During the dialogue, the parties paid particular attention to energy security and new economic projects. In particular, the discussion focused on deepening cooperation between key companies in both markets.
Main topics of discussion:
- Deepening cooperation in the energy sector.
- Interaction between Ukrainian Naftogaz and Polish Orlen.
- Prospects for implementing new joint projects.
"We are working together on practical solutions and on further strengthening our strategic partnership," Svyrydenko added.
Preparation for the heating season and reforms
\Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal made a grim statement regarding the upcoming winter in Ukraine, noting that the new heating season will be extremely difficult.
According to him, regardless of whether hostilities end, the coming cold will force everyone to mobilize efforts and prepare thoroughly. Currently, the government, together with international partners, is developing a plan to restore power generation and protect infrastructure facilities.
At the same time, to maintain the state's financial stability during the war, Ukraine signed a multi-billion-dollar agreement with the World Bank.
The total amount of assistance is $3.39 billion, which will be used to cover the state budget deficit. To receive these funds, Kyiv met several important structural conditions, which, among other things, concerned the integration of the Ukrainian energy market with the European one.
