This morning, Zelenskyy revealed an address to Ukrainians in honor of the third anniversary of the de-occupation of Kherson.
"We remember that joy, those tears, those hugs. The gratitude you feel when you see your people returning. The occupiers fled Kherson thanks to the strength of our people," the President writes.
In addition, he awarded state honors to people of various professions, military and civilian, who all serve their country in Kherson.
Later, Zelenskyy revealed a photo in front of the stele at the entrance to the city of Kherson.

Liberation of Kherson
Kherson had been under occupation by Russian troops since March 2, 2022. After more than eight months of temporary control, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched an operation to liberate the city in September. On November 11, 2022, Ukrainian troops entered Kherson, returning it to Ukrainian control.
It was the only regional center that Russian troops were able to temporarily capture. Despite the occupation, the city did not surrender — residents took part in peaceful protests and continued to resist, keeping faith in liberation.
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine published footage showing how fighters from the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade liberated Ukrainian territories on their way to Kherson.
