The key priority for Ukraine's new Cabinet of Ministers is to fully equip the country's Defense Forces and expand Ukraine's defense industrial base, newly appointed Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said.
According to the head of government, he is beginning his duties with clearly defined priorities.
"Our main task is to fully equip Ukraine's Defense Forces and expand Ukraine's defense industrial base. We will do everything possible to ensure that for every long-range operation, every precision strike, and the defense of frontline positions, Ukrainian troops have sufficient resources and equipment: drones of all types, ground robotic systems, modern equipment, and weapons," Koretskyi said.
In addition, the country is launching active preparations for winter. Support for Ukrainian citizens and businesses is also planned.
"Our duty is to fulfill all of the state's social obligations by ensuring the timely payment of pensions, social benefits, and funding for key public services," Koretskyi added.
The problems facing frontline communities, which suffer daily from Russian attacks, will also remain in focus.
In addition, strengthening cooperation with international partners, attracting additional resources, and making the most effective use of international assistance will remain priorities.
"Our strategic course remains unchanged — Ukraine's full membership in the European Union. Let's get to work," Koretskyi concluded.
Serhii Koretskyi had been appointed head of Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers on July 16. Key facts about the new prime minister were made public.
