Ukrainian National Police's Predator Brigade fighters captured three Russian occupiers in Toretsk. The prisoners claim they intend to join the Russian Volunteer Corps, the brigade’s Telegram channel reports.

In particular, the prisoners had been on the positions of the Ukrainian infantry for several days, after which they were evacuated and handed over to the appropriate authorities.

"They (prisoners - ed.) no longer want to fight for Russia and claim their intention to join the Russian Volunteer Corps to fight against the Putin regime," the Ukrainian military added.

Russian prisoners were captured thanks to the joint actions of the Predator Brigade and other units currently operating in the area.

Earlier, in 2024, the National Police of Ukraine formed additional units to participate in combat operations against Russian occupiers:

  • The Special Purpose Police Brigade, formed based on the Department of Preventive Activities;
  • The Predator Police Patrol Department Brigade;
  • The Special Purpose Police Units Brigade of the Corps of Operational and Sudden Actions.
