Ukrainian drones struck high-value targets belonging to Russian forces in southern Ukraine, including a Pantsir-S1 air defense system, a Sargan patrol boat and a Forpost drone control station, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine(HUR).

During the night of July 29-30, Ukrainian military intelligence drones struck:

  • a Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region;
  • a Project 1100M Sargan patrol boat in Kerch, occupied Crimea;
  • a Forpost ground-based drone control station in Yevpatoria, occupied Crimea.

The estimated value of the Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system is around $15 million, while the high-speed Sargan patrol boat is worth approximately $6 million.

Successful Defense Intelligence operations

It should be recalled that Ukrainian military intelligence drones recently destroyed a costly Russian Murmansk-BN electronic warfare system in temporarily occupied Crimea.

More recently, a launcher and radar belonging to an S-400 air defense system were destroyed in temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukrainian forces destroyed the equipment directly at its combat position.

We also reported that Ukrainian defense company MAC HUB, together with Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Directorate, is developing a strategy to counter Russia's shadow fleet.

Using advanced Katran naval drones, special forces will detect and intercept vessels carrying sanctioned cargo.
