Ukraine's major cities under attack as Russia rains missiles on Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Dnipro, dozens hurt

Russian forces have been carrying out a combined missile and drone strike across multiple regions of Ukraine for the second consecutive day. Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Kharkiv came under fire.

Kyiv
Russia attacked the capital with ballistic missiles. Residential buildings were damaged in the Podilskyi, Obolonskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
A fire broke out on the first floor of a residential building following the attack. In the Podilskyi district, missile debris hit the sixth floor of a 16-story building.
In the same district, where the first floor of a private house was destroyed, rescuers pulled a child from the rubble. Both the child and the mother were later handed over to medics.
In the Obolonskyi district, a large fire broke out in a non-residential area at the site where missile debris fell, with cars also burning.
In the morning, an enemy drone struck an 18-story building. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene.
As a result of the attack on the capital, four people were killed, including a 12-year-old boy. A total of 45 residents were injured. Twenty-six were hospitalized, while others received on-site or outpatient medical care, including two children.

Dnipro
Russian forces attacked Dnipro overnight, causing fires at several locations. A five-story building was damaged, and a private house was partially destroyed.
Residential buildings, garages, and cars caught fire, and an educational institution was also damaged.
According to the regional governor, two people were killed, and 27 were injured in the overnight attack. Fourteen of the injured are hospitalized, five of them in serious condition.
The victims suffered traumatic brain injuries, shrapnel wounds, and blast injuries.

Odesa
Odesa endured several waves of missile and drone attacks overnight.
Six people were killed, and 11 others were injured. All are receiving necessary medical care.
Infrastructure facilities and a residential building in the Khadzhibeiskyi district were damaged. The blast wave shattered more than 300 windows in several buildings. Damage was also recorded in a park in the Prymorskyi district.

Kharkiv
The enemy attacked Kharkiv with strike drones. In the Industrialnyi district, a hit was recorded in a courtyard near a high-rise building, setting cars on fire.
In the Nemishlyanskyi district, a 66-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman were injured as a result of the strike. Medics are providing all necessary assistance.
In the morning, the city was attacked again by drones. A private house caught fire at the impact site, with casualties reported.

On April 15, between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m., Russia carried out a combined attack on Ukraine using more than 20 missiles and 349 drones. Twelve direct hits were recorded, along with debris falling from intercepted targets.
