According to F-Drones, the Ukrainian LITAVR interceptor drone struck a Shahed that was carrying additional drones on its wings.

How target was destroyed

This refers to a combat operation by LITAVR against a Russian Shahed-type attack drone carrying additional drones on its wings. The target was destroyed by the Staf crew of the drone interceptor battery belonging to the anti-aircraft missile division of the 158th Mechanized Brigade.

Why this complicates air defense operations

According to F-Drones-UA, such configurations complicate aerial threats: the carrier can deliver several weapons at once and create additional challenges for air defense. Russia is changing the ways it employs drones, and countermeasures are evolving alongside them.

In the summer of 2026, F-Drones was actively developing its LITAVR line of interceptors. In July, the company unveiled a fully autonomous version of the drone integrated with the 3D LARAG software suite, a system that allows for real-time tracking of the interception process, with the command to engage a target able to be issued from anywhere in the world.

And in August, based on the results of field tests simulating combat conditions, the military recognized the LITAVR+ as the best among interceptors designed to combat jet-powered suicide drones, as reported by the 1020th Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Regiment.
