Ukraine is using a unique intelligence system for massive strikes on Russian territory. Palantir's artificial intelligence controls thousands of drones simultaneously, finding vulnerabilities in enemy defenses, reports CNN.

A CNN correspondent gained access to the working methods of a Main Intelligence Directorate unit that plans kamikaze drone attacks on strategic targets deep inside Russia. The intelligence officers' main tool has become the unique PRISMA development from the American company Palantir.

Now the fighters have software that allows operators to simultaneously control thousands of drones during flight. Palantir's PRISMA software is actively used in Ukrainian command posts of long-range strike drones.

The screens showed real-time maps, flight trajectories, and overlaid data processed by AI, while a commander with the call sign Vector planned strikes in real time.

The system transforms the chaos of aerial combat into a clear mathematical model. This allows attacking targets that were previously considered unreachable.

Artificial intelligence versus enemy air defense

AI plays a key role in breaching Russian defenses. The system does not just guide drones; it constantly learns. The program analyzes vast amounts of data in seconds.

The algorithms analyze the following parameters:

  • Interception points of previous waves of drones.
  • Coverage zones of Russian radars.
  • Flight trajectories that allow bypassing anti-aircraft systems.
  • Density of enemy air defense fire on specific sections.

The artificial intelligence calculates optimal routes in real time. This allows each subsequent group of drones to enter through the gaps that the AI has just identified. The effectiveness of such attacks is significantly higher than conventional launches.

Security and dispersal of forces

The intelligence officers have ensured their system's survivability. The Russians hunt for command centers, but destroying the software is almost impossible. The system is not tied to a single computer or building.

Main Intelligence Directorate operators explained to journalists:

  • Several monitoring centers have been created.
  • They are dispersed across dozens of different locations.
  • Destruction of one node does not stop the overall operation.

Such a structure makes PRISMA elusive. Even in the event of a direct enemy hit on one of the points, other centers instantly take over control of all drones.

What is known about Main Intelligence Directorate and AFU strikes on the rear of the Russians

The day before, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck the Saratov oil refinery in the Volga region. It is part of the Rosneft structure and supplies fuel to the Russian army.

On the night of May 30, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out massive strikes on 23 military and logistics facilities in the enemy's operational depth. That night, Ukrainian drones staged a fiery night in Russia and occupied Crimea, hitting elements of oil logistics.

Also, during this large-scale night attack, pilots of the Unmanned Systems Forces, in coordination with other units, destroyed a training ground of a Russian brigade that had committed atrocities in Bucha.
