Cyber specialists of the Defense Intelligence (HUR) have attacked the Russian company Gaskar Integration, one of the largest suppliers of drones for the Russian army, according to sources within Ukrainian intelligence.

Sources report that as a result of the cyberattack, specialists gained access to over 47 terabytes of technical data related to the production of Russian drones. This data, including 10 terabytes of backup copies, was destroyed.

The cyberattack resulted in the following consequences:

  • the company was left without internet access;

  • production and accounting software is not functioning;

  • the operations of Gaskar’s development center have been paralyzed;

  • all doors at the drone manufacturing plant have been blocked, forcing employees to leave the building through emergency exits.

Additionally, cyber specialists of the Defense Intelligence (HUR) managed to steal confidential employee questionnaires and, most importantly, the complete technical documentation for drone production. This information was handed over to Ukraine’s Defense Forces experts.

HUR cyberattacks

In June, sources of RBC-Ukraine reported that cyber specialists of Ukrainian intelligence had attacked the online system of Russian Railways.

As a result of the cyberattack, the official website of Russian Railways (RZhD) went offline.

Also in June, Ukrainian hackers targeted one of the largest internet providers in Siberia, Orion Telecom.
