Ukraine's Foreign Ministry makes statement on peace plans manipulations

Ukraine insists on three principled positions on ending the war, which have long been known. And most of the media reports about peace plans are not true, according to Ukraine's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Heorhii Tykhyi.
"Regarding these various peace plans, documents, and so on. I can confirm to you that at the talks in London, the Ukrainian side, as well as at previous talks, reaffirmed its principled positions within the framework of a broader long-term peaceful settlement," he said.
Ukraine's 3 principled positions
According to the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, it is not about a ceasefire now, not about silence, but about a broader, longer-term settlement.
"You are well aware of these 3 principled positions, which were repeated by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and other government officials. First, Ukraine will never recognize any part of its territory as Russian. Second, Ukraine will never agree to any limitation of its armed forces, the Ukrainian defense forces, defense capabilities, defense industry, or military assistance from its partners. And the third is that no third country has the right to veto Ukraine's choice of alliances and unions," he listed.
According to Tykhyi, these are three principled positions that Ukraine adheres to and has been voiced in other negotiations, "it is not a particular surprise."
"As for various reports in the media, some plans, today I have already read some new ones, someone else has made them public, we urge everyone to focus on official information coming from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from the President of Ukraine, from the President's Office. There are enough messages that outline Ukraine's position," the spokesperson noted.
Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs' position on media leaks
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine spokesperson also asked not to react emotionally to various media leaks.
"Because, believe me, they are made by anyone, and I'm sorry, I'll tell you in simple language, a very large part of all these leaks is not true. And when I am asked about these reports at a briefing, for example, there is simply a risk that by commenting on them I will legitimize all these injections made by people who, believe me, do not want peace or to advance this process at all. Let's not help these people and focus on official reports," Tyhkyi said.
Russia's escalation of war over past 45 days
He also reminded that 45 days have passed since Ukraine agreed to an unconditional complete ceasefire and it is logical from the point of view of any peace process that first the fire and killing stop, and then talks about some long-term solutions to the war, the end of aggression, as it may be, begin.
"This is how we see this logic, it seems to me that everything is logical. But unfortunately, in these 45 days since Ukraine agreed to this full unconditional ceasefire, we have seen only Russian missiles, drones, killing of children, killing of civilians, escalation of terror, and some manipulations on what else they demand from Ukraine and its allies," explained Tyhkyi.
Therefore, according to him, this offer of Ukraine and Ukraine's readiness remain in force, and "Russia can accept it at any time when Russia chooses peace over war."
United States, Ukraine, and Europe's plans to resolve Russia's war
According to media reports today, during the talks in London, Ukraine and its European partners worked out their version of a plan to resolve the war with Russia. It has already been submitted to the United States.
The document, according to Western media, includes 5 points, the key of which is a principled position on Crimea, which has been, is, and will remain Ukrainian territory.
This plan, according to journalists, was a response to the US plan released this week, which, among other things, promotes Ukraine's refusal to join NATO and the recognition of Crimea as Russian. The Ukrainian side strongly disagrees with this.
