Ukraine's Foreign Minister urges allies to act after Russian strike severely injures child in Sumy

Russia continues its terror against Ukraine, striking civilian populations and infrastructure. International partners must strengthen their support for communities in the region and bolster their resilience, says Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

He recalls that at night, a Russian drone crashed into a house in Sumy, seriously injuring a four-year-old child. Sybiha stresses that she is currently in severe condition with multiple burns.
"The Sumy region is under constant Russian terror. I urge international partners to increase support for the region's communities and strengthen their resilience in such difficult conditions," Sybiha emphasizes.

In the Sumy region, a Russian drone targeted a private house.
A family was injured in the explosion, including a 4-year-old child.
On the night of October 8, the Russians launched another suicide drone strike on Ukrainian territory. Explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih, Cherkasy, Sumy, Odesa, and other regions.
Last night, Russians carried out a massive attack with Shahed drones on the Chernihiv region. The main strikes were on Nizhyn, Pryluky, and the Semenivka communities.
Russia attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and guided aerial bombs. A total of 29 strike drones were shot down over the region. The strikes hit the Kryvyi Rih district, Zelenodolsk, and Novopil communities. The Regional Military Administration showed photos of the aftermath of the Russian strikes.
