On July 30–31, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha will be on an official visit to Finland, where he will participate in the high-level Helsinki+50 conference, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reports.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Helsinki Final Act, a high-level Helsinki+50 conference will take place in Finland.

As part of the visit, Sybiha is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with:

  • the country's top leadership - President of Finland Alexander Stubb;
  • Speaker of the Finnish Parliament Jussi Halla-aho;
  • Finland's Minister for Foreign Affairs — current OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Elina Valtonen;
  • Finnish parliamentarians and Members of the European Parliament,
  • as well as a number of high-level guests attending the Conference.

The key topics of the meetings will include:

  • strengthening and synchronizing allied pressure on Moscow;
  • coordinating efforts between Ukraine and Finland to counter Russian aggression and threats to Europe;
  • further reform of the OSCE and the European security architecture;
  • enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities;
  • participation of the Finnish government and companies in Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction.

Yesterday, July 29, Ukraine's Foreign Minister emphasized that in the coming weeks, there must be maximum synchronization of sanctions from all partners against Russia in order to increase the cost of the war for the aggressor country.

Not long ago, the EU adopted its 18th package of sanctions against Russia. The list includes 22 banks, four companies linked to the Russian Direct Investment Fund, 26 entities associated with the Russian military-industrial complex, and more.

Furthermore, the EU is already working on its 19th sanctions package against Russia. Ukraine has even submitted its proposals to Brussels.
