Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba had a conversation with Norwegian Foreign Minister Barth Eide. They discussed the expansion of the aviation coalition.

"I spoke with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide to coordinate the next steps in bringing new countries into the Peace Formula implementation process," the Minister says.

Kuleba thanked Norway for its participation in the coalition to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets.

"We discussed expanding this initiative," the Foreign Minister says.

The Minister emphasizes that he appreciates Norway's efforts to increase assistance to Ukraine, as well as its decision to take additional steps to strengthen Ukraine's energy system.

F-16s already in Ukraine

Last week, it was officially announced that Ukraine had received F-16 fighter jets from its partners. This was preceded by Western media reports about the transfer of the aircraft.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed the F-16s that had already been handed over to Ukraine on Air Force Day, August 4. It remains unknown how many planes the Ukrainian Air Force has received and what missions they are performing.

Ukraine emphasizes that the planes received so far are not enough to dramatically change the situation at the front.
