On the night of October 10, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Samara linear production and dispatch station (LVDS) near the settlement of Prosvet in Russia’s Samara region for the second time, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The extent of the damage is being assessed.

The Samara linear production and dispatch station (LVDS) is a major oil receiving, storage, and blending hub. Crude oil arrives via trunk pipelines from Tatarstan, Western Siberia, and other Russian oil-producing regions.

At the station, crude oil with different sulfur content is blended to produce the Urals export grade. The facility is involved in supplying the needs of the Russian armed forces.

In addition, the destruction of four RVS-50000 storage tanks and a large-scale fire at the Samara LVDS on October 7, 2026, have been confirmed.

Ukrainian drones struck the Samara LVDS, the largest oil storage facility in Europe, on the night of October 2.

On October 7, one of Russia’s largest oil hubs in the Samara region was on fire again.
