Despite heavy camouflage, Ukrainian troops detected and destroyed a Russian Buk-M1 anti-aircraft system in the Huliaipole sector, according to the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"In the Huliaipole sector, the Russians are deploying anti-aircraft missile systems to counter Ukrainian aircraft, which are actively striking Russian rear areas. One such system is the Buk-M1, which was detected and destroyed by operators of the 433rd Air Defense Battalion within the 7th Corps' area of responsibility," the Corps' statement reads.
The Russians carefully camouflage their air defense systems in forest belts. However, with the onset of fall, the foliage is gradually thinning, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to conceal expensive equipment.
"During the next sortie, our operators also struck another camouflaged target—an air defense system of an unidentified type. The coordinated interaction between units and the effective exchange of intelligence data are yielding results," the military adds.

Ukrainian Armed Forces' precision strikes on key Russian targets
Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck many key Russian military targets. For instance, a Russian Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed near the village of Kuroshany in Zaporizhzhia region.
In addition, on October 2 and during the night of October 3, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a launch site for attack drones, a command post, and a crossing point used by Russian troops. Also on October 2, Ukrainian drones struck Russia's Samara oil storage facility—the largest in Europe.
