The Ministry of Defense is working to establish an effective system for exporting Ukrainian defense products. The needs of Ukraine's Defense Forces remain the absolute priority, Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara said at a meeting with journalists.

What can be exported?

Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara stressed that the needs of the Defense Forces remain the top priority. Products may be exported only if they exceed domestic needs and do not pose risks to supplying Ukraine's army.

According to the Ministry of Defense, exports are expected to provide an additional source of funding for the defense sector. The ministry is developing a mechanism under which part of the export revenue would be allocated to the needs of the Defense Forces.

In July, the Ministry of Defense announced the conditions for exporting weapons and technologies. Countries participating in the Drone Deal with Ukraine can purchase Ukrainian weapons. The application review period has been reduced from 90 to 30 days, and the minimum contract value is UAH 15 million. Export authorization may be denied if the military needs the weapons.
