On the night of October 9, Ukrainian forces struck facilities in Russia linked to missile launches and the production of rocket fuel. Three sites in two regions were hit, according to the General Staff.

One of the targets was a facility belonging to a branch of the Joint Stock Company Center for the Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities (TsENKI) near the settlement of Dalneye Konstantinovo-5 in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It is the V.P. Barmin Research Institute of Launch Complexes.

TsENKI develops, maintains, and operates launch complexes, fueling equipment, and control systems for rockets.

The strike also hit the Redkino Experimental Plant near the settlement of Redkino in the Tver region. The enterprise is part of the enemy’s military-industrial production chains.

The plant manufactures components of Decilin-M fuel for Kh-55 and Kh-101 cruise missiles, as well as additives for diesel fuel and aviation kerosene. The enterprise is under international sanctions.

Another target was the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Elimination Center near the settlement of Surovatikha in Nizhny Novgorod region. It was struck to weaken the enemy’s military-industrial complex capabilities for producing explosives and rocket fuel.

The General Staff explains that such strikes are Ukraine’s exercise of its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.

In September, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a number of Russian air defense facilities.

These included two S-400 launchers in the Bryansk region and a 92N6 radar in Sochi.

We also reported that Russia complained about a drone attack on Yandex’s second data center in Kaluga.

The company says several modules have been completely disabled.
