The highest intensity of Russian offensive operations is currently being recorded in the Zaporizhzhia direction, particularly near Huliaipole, according to a Telegram post by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"Spent another day on a working visit, operating with units conducting combat operations in the Zaporizhzhia direction, in the areas of Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zelene, and Varvarivka," Syrskyi said.
According to him, the enemy is concentrating a significant amount of forces and equipment in this direction, viewing it as a primary axis.
The intensity of offensive operations near Huliaipole is significantly higher compared to other sectors.
On the ground, the commander-in-chief addressed the issue of additional supplies for units, including ammunition, drones, unmanned robotic systems, and other logistical support. Combat tasks were also уточнені based on the nature of the enemy’s actions.
"The tasks remain unchanged: holding our positions and defensive lines, inflicting maximum losses on the enemy, seizing the initiative, and preserving the lives of our soldiers," Syrskyi said.
Situation in the south
As reported earlier, on March 14 Syrskyi visited the Southern operational zone, where active fighting is currently ongoing.
According to him, Ukraine's Defense Forces in the south are holding their designated lines, destroying the enemy, gradually advancing, and fighting to liberate settlements.
Earlier reports also indicated that Russian forces have intensified offensive actions in several sectors of the front in recent weeks.
A particularly noticeable increase in attacks has been observed in the Zaporizhzhia direction, where the intensity of assaults at times exceeds that seen in one of the most tense areas of the front — near Pokrovsk.
According to DeepState, the Russian command is also regrouping forces and replenishing reserves. Analysts believe these actions may be linked to changing weather conditions and the growth of dense vegetation, which could affect battlefield tactics.
