As of November 26, the border between Ukraine and Slovakia is not blocked. However, there are queues of trucks, according to the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andrii Demchenko.

"The traffic is intense both entering and leaving Ukraine. Over the past day, about 350 trucks crossed the border in this direction. Of course, the actions taking place on the border with Poland have added to the traffic (on the border with Slovakia - ed.)," he explained.

As of the morning of November 26, there are also queues at the border in Slovakia. According to Demchenko, there are 450 trucks in line heading to Ukraine.

The speaker also added that queues at the border between Ukraine and Hungary have increased.

"As of this morning, there were about 600 trucks waiting to cross the border opposite the Tysa checkpoint. Fortunately, traffic is moving in this direction as well," said Demchenko.

As a reminder, on November 21, Slovak carriers began blocking the movement of trucks toward Ukraine through the Vyšné Nemecké-Uzhhorod checkpoint. However, the border was unblocked the next day.

Blockade of the border by Polish carriers

Since November 6, the movement of freight transport at 4 checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border has been hampered.

The reason for the queues at the border was the strikes of Polish carriers. On November 16, they rejected the joint proposals of the European Commission, Ukraine, and Poland and refused to end the strike. Their main demand is to return to the permit system for our country.

RBC-Ukraine visited the Ukrainian-Polish border, where queues of trucks have formed for more than 20 kilometers. Read more in our article.
