During the day on October 1, Ukrainian air defense neutralized 78 enemy drones out of the 97 with which Russia attacked Ukraine. More than 80% of all launched drones were jet-powered, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force.
According to military data, the attack lasted from 06:30 to 18:00 Kyiv time.
In total, the enemy launched 97 strike UAVs of various types at Ukrainian territory, including 66 jet-powered drones, as well as Gerbera-type drones.
Air defense forces managed to shoot down and suppress 78 drones. Of these, 55 of the neutralized targets were specifically jet-powered drones, accounting for more than 83% of their total number.
As of 18:00 Kyiv time, about 10 strike UAVs remained in Ukrainian airspace.

Russian troops continue to attack Ukrainian regions daily using various types of drones.
The enemy mostly uses Shahed-type strike UAVs, as well as target simulator drones Gerbera and Parodiya, to exhaust the Ukrainian air defense system.
In addition, Russian units are increasingly employing jet-powered UAVs for strikes, which have a higher flight speed.
In particular, during the day on September 30, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 174 jet-powered drones, most of which were shot down by air defense forces.
The following night, the enemy launched over a hundred drones at Ukrainian territory from six directions, 63 of which were jet-powered.
At that time, sky defenders also successfully neutralized the majority of enemy UAVs.
