During a new overnight attack on Ukraine, Russia used more than 100 drones of various types. However, the defenders managed to neutralize most of them, according to a report by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the night of October 1, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 107 Shahed-type attack drones. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized that 63 of them were jet-powered.

In addition, Russian forces launched Gerbera drones and Parodya decoy drones.

This time, the enemy launched the drones from the following directions: Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk, Shatalovo in Russia, the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces, were involved in destroying the Russian drones.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m. Kyiv time, air defense forces had destroyed or suppressed 87 enemy Shahed-type, Gerbera, and other drones.

At the same time, hits by aerial attack weapons were recorded at 11 locations, while falling debris from downed drones was reported at four other locations.

The defenders emphasize that the air attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in the sky.
