Ukraine’s air defense destroys more than 40 Russian jet-powered Shahed drones: Details

"As of 4:30 p.m., more than 100 attack drones of various types have been recorded, a significant number of them heading toward Kyiv. So far, air defense has managed to shoot down more than 40 jet-powered UAVs, but dozens of drones are still in the air," the military said.
Hits by enemy kamikaze drones were recorded at infrastructure facilities, civilian sites, and residential buildings in various regions of Ukraine.
In particular, jet-powered drones hit the building of the National Academy of Sciences and the Dobrobut medical center in the capital.
"Defense Forces continue to repel the enemy’s air attack! We express our condolences to the families of those killed and to the injured," the statement said.
Russian drones struck Kyiv this morning. As a result of the attack, facilities in the capital’s Obolonskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts were damaged, including a gas station and an office building.
In addition, a Russian drone hit the building of the National Academy of Sciences in central Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the incident and promised Russia a response for this crime.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that Russian forces today struck the Dobrobut clinic in Kyiv as well. The enemy attack caused a fire.
