On September 14, Ukraine conducted a new prisoner exchange. 103 soldiers have returned, according to the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, the Azov Patronage Service, and the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

"Another 103 warriors have been returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity," Zelensky said.

According to the president, among the 103 military personnel were 82 rank-and-file soldiers and sergeants, as well as 21 officers—defenders of Kyiv, Donetsk, Mariupol and Azovstal, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv—including fighters from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, border guards, and police officers.

Twenty-three Azov soldiers released

Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets stated that among those freed were defenders from the 36th Marine Brigade, the National Guard, including the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov," border guards, and members of the Krake particular unit. There were also representatives of the National Police, Territorial Defense, the State Emergency Service, and various units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The vast majority of those released have been held since the early days of the war," the ombudsman noted.

The Azov Patronage Service added that as part of this exchange, 23 Azov members were returned.

On September 13, the 56th prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia took place. 49 military personnel were returned, including defenders of Azovstal. Among those returned, 15 were fighters.
