Ukraine has managed to bring back a group of children from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region. They had been living under threats and attacks from the Russians, according to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on Telegram.
He said that the children brought to the Ukrainian-controlled territory are between 4 and 16 years old. An adult who has the status of a child deprived of parental care was also evacuated with them.
Prokudin clarified that among those rescued is a 12-year-old boy and his family, who had been living in constant fear due to regular searches, interrogations, and threats from the Russians.
"But the most terrifying were the Russian drone attacks on civilians. During one of these attacks, a local boy was killed," the head of the regional administration noted.
According to him, the children endured threats, pressure, and attempts at "re-education," but they are now safe. They are receiving the necessary psychological, social, and medical support.
Russia is organizing a 'human safari'
In November, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that in frontline regions, Russian drone operators are conducting a "human safari."
He noted that Russia is training its drone operators by carrying out attacks on peaceful Ukrainians.
The head of the Ukrainian state emphasized that Ukraine is preparing special measures that will help protect civilians in regions that are regularly subjected to Russian attacks.
