Ukraine receives tranche of €4.1 billion from European Union
Ukraine received a tranche of EUR 4.1 billion from the European Commission under the Ukraine Facility program. The total amount of assistance in 2024 reached 16.1 billion euros, according to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“This support reflects Ukraine’s significant progress on key reforms outlined in the Ukraine Plan, from anti-corruption to energy and environmental protection,” he wrote.
According to him, the EU's continued commitment under the €50 billion Ukraine Facility until 2027 strengthens Ukraine's resilience and moves us forward on the path to EU membership.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the funds will be used for the priority needs of the state budget in the social and humanitarian sphere.
For 2025, the Ukraine Facility program provides about €12.5 billion in financial support.

In February 2024, the European Parliament approved the regulations of the Ukraine Facility program. The EU's €50 billion support program for Ukraine will run from 2024 to 2027.
Of this amount, up to €32 billion is earmarked to support reforms and investments outlined in the Ukraine Plan, according to which disbursements will be conditional on the achievement of certain targets. The Ukraine Fund has already disbursed €6 billion in bridge financing, €1.89 billion in pre-financing, and a first installment of almost €4.2 billion, including €1.5 billion in non-repayable financial support and over €2.6 billion in loans.
In December, Ukraine expects to receive about $8.5 billion in international aid. According to the National Bank of Ukraine's forecast, the total amount of aid will reach $41.5 billion.
