Ukraine receives arms from new US aid package, White House says
Ukraine is already receiving weapons from a new aid package announced earlier by the United States as part of a renewed military assistance program, stated White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre during a briefing.
"The aid into Ukraine is ongoing and they (Ukrainians) have been receiving that security assistance," Karin Jean-Pierre said.
Assistance to Ukraine from the United States
On April 24, US President Joe Biden signed a law providing for the allocation of funds to help Ukraine.
The American President also announced a new military aid package for the Ukrainian army.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the new aid package from the United States included long-range ATACMS missiles with a range of more than 300 kilometers.
On April 26, the United States allocated the largest military aid package to Ukraine. Its total value is $6 billion.
