Ukraine provides US with a list of Russia's violations of energy truce – MFA

Ukraine has provided a detailed list of Russia's violations of the energy truce to all international organizations and partner countries, including the United States, states the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, during a briefing.
"We have conveyed the violations of the so-called energy truce by Russia. I mentioned in the last briefing that there are more than 30 of them, but we provided a detailed list of these violations to all international organizations, all foreign countries, including partner countries, and specifically to the United States," said Tykhyi.
According to him, this information was transmitted through official channels, not just via the media.
"As for their reactions, let's ask them. Let them (the US – ed.) respond. So let our American colleagues state their position on these violations," the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.
Tykhyi added that he found it difficult to comment on this energy truce because Russia practically did not comply with it.
"We believe that these partial truces, ceasefires, are, to put it mildly, problematic. And that's why a complete, unconditional ceasefire is needed. Time-limited, okay, 30 days, or however long we agreed upon in Jeddah, but a full ceasefire would allow for monitoring, control, and some progress in the peace process. And Russia, as you can see, not only violated the energy truce but also targeted civilian infrastructure, civilians, killing people," he emphasized.
Energy truce
Last month, with the mediation of the United States, Ukraine and Russia agreed to halt strikes on energy and port infrastructure. The so-called truce came into effect on March 25.
However, almost immediately, Russia violated all the agreements by launching strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities.
Moreover, despite continuing attacks on Ukraine's energy sector, Russia invented fake strikes on their own facilities.
RBC-Ukraine reported that, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov sent fabricated reports to the United States about alleged attacks on Russian energy infrastructure.
On April 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov declared the "end of the moratorium on strikes against energy infrastructure." However, Ukraine did not take his words as significant signals.
