Ukraine proposed an Easter ceasefire to Russia but received a massive drone attack across eight regions in response. Lutsk is still extinguishing fires after strikes hit food warehouses and a Nova Poshta terminal (Ukraine's largest private postal and delivery company), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Truce rejected — strikes continue

Zelenskyy said that Kyiv came forward with two specific proposals:

  • An Easter ceasefire;
  • A separate truce regarding energy facilities.

Russia ignored both. At night, its drones again targeted substations and transformers.

"We proposed an Easter ceasefire — in response, we receive Shaheds. We also proposed a ceasefire specifically regarding energy facilities — the Russians ignore this and again try to hit our substations and transformers," the president said.

In Lutsk, Russia struck purely civilian objects:

  • Food warehouses;
  • A Nova Poshta terminal;
  • A residential building.

In addition to Lutsk, Dnipropetrovsk region, Zhytomyr region, Poltava region, Odesa region, Kharkiv region, and Khmelnytskyi region were attacked during the night. At the time of the president's address, some drones were still in the sky.

In total, Russia used 339 drones, about 200 of which were Iranian-made Shaheds.

Zelenskyy noted that many diplomatic contacts are planned today, and the night strike is effectively Moscow's response to these efforts.

He also accused Russia of transferring intelligence data to the Iranian regime to fuel conflicts in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf.

According to Zelenskyy, two key factors are bringing peace closer:

  • An increase in the percentage of downed drones and missiles;
  • Stronger restrictions on Russian oil, trade, and production.

In the morning, drones massively attacked western Ukraine. More than 80 UAVs were recorded in the airspace. Explosions were already heard in the Vinnytsia region and Bukovyna.

During the night, the situation was also tense in the city of Khmelnytskyi — significant fires broke out there after a Shahed attack.
