Ukraine police unveil first footage of Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia

Russians launched a massive attack on Zaporizhzhia overnight on August 30. Law enforcement released footage showing the first moments after the strikes, according to the Patrol Police of Ukraine.
"On the night of August 30, Zaporizhzhia once again experienced the horrors of war. The city endured a combined enemy attack. The enemy deliberately struck residential areas, leaving behind destruction, pain, and tears," the statement said.
Patrol police were among the first to arrive at the sites. They helped residents escape from burning and destroyed homes. Officers evacuated civilians to safer locations and assisted those in the greatest need.
Unfortunately, the attack left dozens of people wounded and one dead.
Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia
Overnight on August 30, Russian forces carried out at least 12 strikes on Zaporizhzhia. Fourteen apartment buildings and more than 40 private homes were damaged. The assault left roughly 25,000 residents without electricity.
By the evening, officials reported that the number of people injured in Zaporizhzhia had risen to 34.
Across Ukraine that night, Russian forces fired 45 missiles and launched 537 strike drones. Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 548 aerial targets.
