A massive air raid alert has been declared in Ukraine due to an attack by cruise missiles launched from strategic Tu-95MS bombers, reports the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"A group of missiles over Cherkasy and Kyiv regions, heading northwest," the military reported at 04:12 Kyiv time.

According to monitoring channels, at 04:21, enemy missiles were heading toward the Vinnytsia region in the direction of Pohrebyshche and Koziatyn.

At 04:27, the Air Forces reported the movement of a group of missiles through the Vinnytsia region towards the city of Starokostiantyniv.

At 04:30–04:35, explosions were heard in Starokostiantyniv.

At 04:37, it was reported that no cruise missiles were detected. Reconnaissance is ongoing.

Meanwhile, monitoring channels reported the additional takeoff of 4 Tu-95MS aircraft from the city of Engels. They are heading toward the Volgograd and Volgodonsk regions, likely for a missile launch.

Air strikes by Russia

On the night of Monday, May 26, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine using strike drones.

At 00:43, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv due to the approach of enemy UAVs.

Later, explosions were heard in the capital amid the drone attack.

Around 04:00, monitoring channels warned of the risk of missile strikes from Kh-101/555 missiles launched by strategic Tu-95MS bombers.

On the night of Sunday, May 25, the Russian army attacked 13 regions of the country, using dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as about 300 Shahed drones.
