Ukraine has offered its partners the opportunity to test their defense products during combat operations and called for the establishment of long-term partnerships, states Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Valerii Churkin during his speech at the Estonian-Ukrainian Defense Industry Forum held in Kyiv.

According to reports, the event was attended by Estonian Minister of Defense Hanno Pevkur, Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin, Director of the Defense Procurement Agency Arsen Zhumadilov, as well as representatives of the defense industries of both countries, government officials, and experts.

"Estonia is a true friend of our country, and we must strengthen industrial cooperation. Among the opportunities Ukraine offers to international partners are testing defense products in real combat conditions and developing long-term partnerships through joint ventures," Churkin noted.

The deputy minister outlined key areas in which the Defense Forces require assistance from Estonian allies, including anti-drone solutions and modernization of weapons already deployed on the battlefield.

He also thanked Estonia for its consistent and strong support.

For his part, Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur expressed hope that the Estonian-Ukrainian Defense Industry Forum would become a platform to help create new opportunities in defense manufacturing and technology exchange.

"Estonia is ready to share its experience in IT and digital transformation," he stated.

We previously reported that Ukraine is proposing the establishment of joint arms production with France, potentially using proceeds from frozen Russian assets to finance the initiative.
