Ukraine needs 25 Patriot systems to close skies over the country - Zelenskyy

Ukraine needs 25 Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to completely cover the sky over the country, says President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference.
"I can tell you how many Patriots we need in general. From the point of view of the structure of our air defense, to completely cover Ukraine, according to our military, we need 25 Patriots. This is for a completely closed sky over Ukraine. I cannot tell you how many we have or will have," he said.
Ukraine needs Patriot systems
The Patriot air defense system, famous for its capabilities, will be a key addition to Ukraine's air defense. This system is capable of shooting down ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as aircraft, providing reliable protection for cities and critical infrastructure.
Romania's decision to transfer one Patriot system to Ukraine was an important step.
The Netherlands also plans to provide Ukraine with another Patriot system, according to the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kajsa Ollongren.
The third Patriot system from Germany arrived recently in Ukraine.
