Ukraine-NATO Council
The Ukraine-NATO Council format was established as one of the steps toward Ukraine's NATO membership following the decision made at the summit in Vilnius in the summer of 2023.
During the Council's sessions, mutual consultations will take place, decisions will be made, and this format serves as a mechanism for crisis consultations between Ukraine and NATO.
It was previously announced that the Ukraine-NATO Council would be held at the level of Chiefs of Staff. The meeting of the military committee, the highest military body of NATO, is scheduled for January 17-18. It will take place within the framework of the Alliance's Military Committee meeting.
Allies will discuss Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine, the situation on the ground, and further NATO support for Ukraine.
