Ukraine has returned three children from temporarily occupied territories. As a result, it was possible to reunite a family, according to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, on Telegram.

According to Lubinets, the first two children are young boys. Their mother was forced to leave Ukraine due to the war, while her sons remained in the temporarily occupied territory in the Donetsk region.

A woman reached out for help to the Ombudsman's Office, and she was assisted — her children were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories and reunited with their mother. The family is now safe.

Additionally, as the Ombudsman noted, the third child is a 17-year-old boy who became a symbol of courage. He supported Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories, for which he was pursued by the occupying authorities. The boy was tortured and intimidated.

"Ultimately, he turned to us and is now safe, receiving humanitarian and material support, as well as assistance with documentation. A new chapter in his life awaits — studying in a free and independent Ukraine," Lubinets shared.
