Ukraine liberates Myrne near Kupiansk in Kharkiv region

Ukrainian forces have liberated the village of Myrne near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. The area offers a strategic position to control the road to the city, Spokesman for the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Troops Viktor Trehubov told RBC-Ukraine.
"As of now, Russian forces have been pushed out of Myrne," Trehubov said.
The analytical service DeepState reported on August 29 that Myrne had already been cleared of Russian forces. The settlement was marked accordingly on their maps, indicating the shift in control.

Before its liberation, Russian forces stationed in Myrne were able to monitor and influence the road to Kupiansk. Those positions are now firmly under the control of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Earlier, Andrii Kanashevych, Head of the Kupiansk District Military Administration, noted that Myrne and Kupiansk are located close to each other and effectively merge into one urban area.
Frontline situation
Since the start of the day, Ukrainian forces have recorded at least 104 combat clashes across the front. In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops attempted six attacks on Ukrainian defenders.
The most active sectors of the front remain Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Novopavlivka.
Dobropillia continues to be one of the hottest points on the battlefield. According to the spokesman for the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Troops, Russian units in the area were encircled. Ukrainian forces successfully cut off what they described as the Russian "crab claws," weakening their operational capabilities in the region.
