Ukraine is fighting for every missile for its Patriot air defense systems, with every Ukrainian ambassador now focused on securing additional interceptors for Kyiv, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha said.

"Unfortunately, the geopolitical reality is that the United States can produce around 600 PAC-3 missiles a year. Given the situation in the Middle East, we understand how difficult it is for us to obtain, purchase, exchange, and secure these missiles. We are literally fighting for every single missile," Sybiha said.

He added that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is holding meetings on the issue. According to Sybiha, every Ukrainian ambassador is working daily to secure additional missiles, particularly anti-ballistic interceptors.

The acting minister noted that Ukraine is also working with the American side, adding that consultations regarding licenses have already been held and will continue.

"There have been substantive talks between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States. Now all these issues need to be discussed with every stakeholder, and those discussions are ongoing," Sybiha said.

Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that deliveries of air defense missiles to Ukraine have dropped by two-thirds compared to 2025. However, the president emphasized that partners still have them in stock.

The Ukrainian president also suggested that Ukraine may receive fewer air defense missiles due to Western efforts to make it more compliant in negotiations.
