"The format will be expanded to include the chairman of the Ukrainian legislature. The thematic focus of the joint discussion will also be related to this. It will be devoted to the situation in Ukraine in connection with multilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation," said the spokesman of the speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, Martin Churavy.

He added that politicians will also discuss other relevant topics within the framework of cooperation between parliaments.

The Visegrad Four

We will remind that the Visegrad Group includes Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary. The association was established on February 15, 1991.

The last time the heads of parliaments of the Visegrad Four met in February of last year in Slovakia, which then chaired the group.

After her, in July of last year, management was transferred to Czechia.

One of the three priorities that the country has identified as part of its presidency is assistance to Ukraine and its citizens - for example, in accepting refugees, their education, health care, judicial or humanitarian assistance.

Let us add that as early as March 2022, in response to the large-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation, Czechia offered to consider Ukraine's admission to the Visegrad Group.
