Ukraine intercepts majority of Russian drones in overnight assault

Russia launched 58 drones of various types against Ukraine overnight, including Shahed attack drones (some jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas UAVs, Banderol loitering munitions, and Parodiya decoy drones, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
The new Russian attack began as early as 6:00 p.m. on July 20.
The Russian drones were launched from the directions of Kursk and Oryol in Russia, Donetsk in the temporarily occupied territories, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The following forces were involved in destroying the enemy targets:

Aviation;

Anti-aircraft missile troops;

Electronic warfare and unmanned systems units;

Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the latest data, as of 8:00 a.m., Ukraine's air defenses had neutralized 46 enemy UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol loitering munitions, and other types of drones.
The air attack was repelled in the north, south, and east of the country.
The Ukrainian Air Force also confirmed that eight attack UAVs struck seven locations.
"The attack is ongoing, and enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Ukrainian defenders urged.
Meanwhile, it has become known that in July, Russia launched more ballistic missiles at Ukraine than it produced.
Earlier, it was reported that a large fire broke out in Sumy following a Russian strike, leaving people injured.
Two gas stations in Mykolaiv were damaged as a result of the enemy attack.
